Wireside is a small UK software studio. We build mobile apps, web products, and everything behind them: the APIs, the payments, the infrastructure. Founders come to us when their software has to handle real users and real money without falling over. You get a scope and a price before we start, and the engineer who scopes your project is the one who builds it.

Our approach

Small studio,
serious software

Most software doesn't fall over at the demo. It falls over later, under real load, in store review or a security audit, when the numbers finally have to reconcile. That's the work we take on, fixed-scope or retainer, with one senior engineer owning it from architecture through to release.

Clear contracts

Every engagement runs on a signed MSA with a fixed scope or a monthly retainer. You see the price and the boundaries before any code is written, and they don't move unless you ask them to.

Security by default

Keychain storage, device attestation, certificate pinning, open-banking flows that move real money. It goes in from the first commit, so a pen test confirms the work rather than exposing it.

Regulated delivery

The release discipline comes from Tesco-scale retail and regulated UK tenancy programmes: staged rollouts, incident playbooks, sign-off that holds up. You get the same rigour on a two-person build.

Senior-led execution

Architecture, security, and the production cutover stay with a senior engineer. We use automation to move quickly through the routine work, but a person decides what's ready to ship.

A small, predictable path from first call to a live release. You always know which stage you're in and what happens next.

  1. Discovery & scope

    A free call, then a written scope with a fixed price or retainer. You see the number and the boundaries before anything starts.

  2. Architecture & security

    We design the data model, the money paths, and the security groundwork before writing any feature code.

  3. Build & review

    Senior-owned implementation in weekly increments. You review working software, not status decks, and steer as it ships.

  4. Ship & support

    We handle the release, whether that's an app store submission or a production deploy, plus a clean handover. If you'd like us to stay close after launch, we can stay on retainer.

Mobile, web, and backend under one roof. The same studio designs the product, builds it, and runs the infrastructure behind it.

  • Native mobile apps

    SwiftUI and UIKit, built for the long haul: clean architecture, real performance, accessibility, and the security work App Store reviewers and compliance teams expect. When you need both stores, we match it with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose on Android.

  • Cross-platform mobile

    One codebase across iOS and Android with Flutter or React Native. The right call when a shared timeline and a consistent UX matter more than squeezing out the last of native performance.

  • Web & SaaS

    Admin consoles, onboarding, billing, internal tools. Usually Next.js and TypeScript on Postgres, served by the same APIs your app already uses.

  • Senior-led acceleration

    We use automation and AI where they genuinely help, mostly implementation speed and test coverage. The decisions that carry risk, like architecture, security, and the production cutover, always stay with a senior engineer.

Muhammad Farhan Baig Mirza has spent more than a decade building software where releases had to survive store review, security questionnaires, and real incidents: Tesco-scale retail programmes and consulting delivery through Zühlke, across mobile apps and the systems behind them. Production environments, not demo-ware.

Wireside is what came out of that. A small UK studio with real contracts and a direct line to the engineer doing the work. You get the rigour of a consultancy without the layers, and the focus of a specialist without the gamble of hiring a freelancer cold.
